Since HTC Sweden AB began in 1987, HTC has developed into the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of complete grinding and maintenance systems for floors, and today the company/group has almost 170 employees, with the vast majority employed within the technology and product development department, as well as manufacturing and sales. The head office is based in Söderköping, Sweden, and subsidiaries operate in USA, Germany, UK and France.
The majority shareholders are the company’s founders Håkan and Gunn Thysell, who, along with 3iGroup, control the company. Håkan and Gunn are both active within the company, and Håkan is the inventor of most of the products and process ideas, which in many cases are patented.
HTC’s systems include a complete concept that takes into account Economy, Ergonomics and Ecology. HTC’s business concept is to Develop, Manufacture and Sell Professional Flooring Solutions.
Machines & tools
HTC machines cover everything from edges to huge areas of thousands of square meters. HTC produces a unique range of diamond tools to cover all the different type of procedures possible with the HTC grinding machines.
Floor concepts
HTC has also developed unique floor solutions within polished concrete (HTC Superfloor™), a new diamond based cleaning system (HTC Twister™), a new and unique wood grinding concept (EZwood™) and a great floor prep concept (HTC Superprep™).
3i group
3i group are minority owners in HTC since August 2006. 3i is a world leader in private equity and venture capital and focuses on investing minority stakes in high growth companies expanding organically or through acquisition.
