HTC Floor Grinding Solutions gets new owner

Press release March 7, 2017

The Construction Division of Husqvarna Group has entered into an agreement to acquire HTC’s Floor Grinding Solutions Division.

The joint capabilities and strengths of HTC, Husqvarna and Pullman Ermator, which was recently acquired by Husqvarna, enhance our ability to educate contractors, floor owners and architects about the benefits of polished concrete as a floor solution and floor grinding as a method. By working together to stimulate interest in these solutions, we will be able to expand and develop the market as a whole.

Over the last three years, HTC has experienced fantastic growth and has further strengthened its position as market and innovation leader, not least with the launch of its new range of grinding machines, DURATIQ. We have a very exciting journey ahead as we continue and accelerate HTC’s growth with such a well-established industrial company as Husqvarna as our new owner, says Stefan Lind, CEO of HTC Group.

Husqvarna Construction has announced that it will be operating HTC as a separate business unit with its own brand. The acquisition brings HTC greater resources and opportunities to develop even better products in the future, which will further enhance HTC’s relationships with its customers.

The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the middle of this year. Polaris Private Equity, which acquired HTC in 2013, will continue to own HTC until the takeover is completed.
