Concrete roads

The roads of the future are concrete

Concrete roads

Concrete roads can be ground down advantageously to reduce noise and particles. A newly cast concrete surface becomes harder after grinding once the soft top layer has been removed and the ballast is more exposed. Our technology can be used both in heavy concrete tunnels and on other surfaces such as concrete roads. There are many advantages to grinding, and our larger equipment has a high capacity. It presents plenty of advantages, but reduced noise, more even surfaces and greater friction are some of them, as well as its high cost-effectiveness as a way of working a surface.

Many advantages of ground concrete roads

  • Reduced noise
  • Reduced particle emission
  • Increased friction
  • Lighter roadways
  • Extended service life
  • Increased driving comfort
  • Lower rolling resistance
  • Reduced fuel consumption

Experience shows that the grinding of newly built concrete roads should be planned in before they are opened to traffic. Since our large grinding machines remove material at a high rate, closure times for regrinding are short.
